I chose this photo because it is quite simple and all of the model's features are distinctive.

I made this photo black and white, and them selected an option to put the photo into 4 colours; no fill, light grey, dark grey and black.
I then printed out 3 pictures
1. The light grey, dark grey and black
2. The dark grey and black
3. Just the black
I cut out the coloured parts of the 3 pictures using a knife and cutting board. I placed a white piece of paper behind each stencil and stuck them together using masking tape. I then sprayed each stencil using black spray paint.
I took each stencil off of the three pieces of paper, scanned them in and edited them to be threshold (black and white only).
I then changed the colour of the originally 'all 3 colours'.

This is the colour scheme I wanted to follow, influenced by the artist Miles Donovan.

I applied this colour scheme using the colour picker tool.
To add the 'magnificent' heading, I made my own stencil using a craft knife, and then sprayed this and scanned it in. I the overlapped two of the heading with different colours to add more detail.
I then added the coloured background for the cover lines using the paint tool at a large size and sometimes incorporating the elliptical and rectangular marquee tools to create a crisp edge the the cover line background.
Then I added the cover lines using contrasting fonts (sans serif/chalk handwritten/ italic calligraphy).
This is my finished spray paint magazine. I enlarged certain headlines to add a hierarchy.
